Phil Calvin – Chief Technical Officer
Phil Calvin, founder of Sitemasher Corporation, began building the product in the summer of 2006, having recognized the converging nature of Web applications and the inherent problems with existing Web development solutions. Prior to Sitemasher, Calvin founded Motivus Software Ltd, a pioneer in the next-generation remote access marketplace. Motivus was acquired by Citrix Systems Inc. in March 2004 and continues to be a significant component of the Citrix Access Gateway product family. A precursor to Motivus, Calvin was the founder of Softscribe Development, which provided product consulting and development services to a variety of clients, primarily building industrial automation software for Rockwell Software. Before beginning his entrepreneurial career, Calvin worked in various technical capacities for Dynapro Software, Marcam Canada and Microsoft Corporation.
Ron Moravek – Chief Executive Officer
Ron Moravek is an experienced strategic executive with a proven track record of success in high-growth Fortune 500 organizations, most recently as vice president and chief operating officer of Electronic Arts Canada before joining Sitemasher in 2007. He brings an inspirational, fun and empowering management style to Sitemasher, and abilities to identify business opportunities and to successfully execute business plans. A results-oriented, creative and high-energy leader, Moravek was a co-founder of Relic Entertainment, where his vision and motivational leadership style helped grow that business from start-up to 220 people and $30 million in revenue during his tenure. Upon the sale of Relic Entertainment to THQ Inc., Moravek assumed the group general manager role and was vice president of development for THQ. Moravek’s early career experience included senior sales and business development roles with FedEx Canada and an IBM affiliate. He currently sits on advisory boards for Calgoo, Hothead Games and Smoking Gun Interactive and is on the board of directors at Ronald McDonald House.
Curtis Terry – Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer
Curtis Terry has more than18 years of experience in corporate finance and has a proven track record of success in both Fortune 500 high-growth companies and start-up technology firms. Prior to joining Sitemasher, he held the position of director of strategic planning for Electronic Arts–World Wide Studios. Terry was a co-founder and chief financial officer for Relic Entertainment, where he was responsible for providing financial and operational leadership until Relic was acquired by THQ in April 2004. Post acquisition he held the position of director of finance and operations. There, Terry focused on integrating the two entities while preserving Relic’s corporate culture, which was critical for Relic’s long-term success under THQ management. Prior to Relic, he played an important role in supporting FedEx Canada’s entry into the Canadian market, where he held various corporate finance and managerial roles over his nine-year tenure with FedEx. Terry holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with honors from University of Victoria and a master’s degree in economics from Queen’s University.
Nicole Denil – Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Nicole Denil has more than 18 years of experience in high-tech and international business. She joins Sitemasher from Microsoft, where she managed Microsoft’s small and medium business and mass-market segments for Latin America. Previously she led Microsoft’s server and tools business in Caribbean and Central America to top worldwide revenue growth. Prior to Microsoft, Denil held various management, marketing and sales positions during her 10-year tenure at Rockwell. She began her career at Rockwell Automation opening new channels to market and building new businesses in Latin America for industrial automation. She then moved to Rockwell Software during its acquisition by Rockwell, where she launched the first PC-based distributed industrial control server worldwide and was responsible for the branding and positioning for Rockwell Software’s integrated architecture. Denil has a long track record of breakthrough growth in the businesses she has managed. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and an executive master’s of business administration from Florida International University.
Eric Dorgelo – Vice President, Product Development
Eric Dorgelo has worked in the software development industry for 18 years. During this time he has held various positions leading teams through the strategy, design and implementation of more than 20 successful software releases that have collectively generated revenues in excess of $350 million. Dorgelo studied Robotics & Automation (BCIT, 1989) and Engineering (University of Waterloo, 1986) and completed a master’s in business administration in technology management from Simon Fraser University in 2006. Dorgelo has performed in the capacity of platform strategy manager, program development manager, software systems architect and software application engineer with Rockwell Automation.
